ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Any organization that meets our End Point Assessment (EPA) criteria and quality assurance requirements can become an Approved EPA Center. This includes training providers, employers, professional bodies, and assessment organizations. However, becoming an Approved EPA Center requires a significant investment of time and resources, and Approved EPA Centers must adhere to strict regulatory standards and requirements set by external accreditation bodies.
Programme Administration
No Roles & Responsibilities University The centre
1 To appoint a coordinator for liaison purposes to ensure effective and accurate communication on the programme(s) information and requirements for quality assurance.
2 To keep the other party informed of any changes in academic and administrative procedures on a regular basis.
3 To provide Curriculum of programmes.
4 To provide assessment guidelines and moderation of assessment markings.
5 To provide access to online learning materials for the agreed modules.
6 To include University’s logo in the programme(s) training materials, upon approval by University.
7 To ensure the incorporation of the course codes and subject titles of the programs in the corresponding course modules.

Teaching Staff
No Roles & Responsibilities University The centre
1 To appoint, subject to University approval, and maintain appropriate lecturers/academic facilitators for the delivery and facilitation of the Programme(s) at the Centre.
2 To reserve the right to accept/reject lecturers/academic facilitators if the appointment is not subject to the University’s guidelines.
3 To be responsible for the remuneration of the lecturers and tutors.
4 To be responsible for the approval and appointment of programme/research supervisors.
5 To be responsible for the remuneration of the programme/ research supervisors.
6 To reserve the right to accept/reject programme/research supervisors.
7 Where relevant University is responsible for the appointment of examiners and readers and the final viva voce.
8 To be responsible for the remuneration of the examiners, reader, and final viva voce board.
9 Where relevant to ensure submission of student progress report of Research Studies by both the supervisor and student at the end of each semester.

Facilities & Services
No Roles & Responsibilities University The centre
1 To ensure the Centre allocates facilities and resources at its campus/premises for the conduct of the modules, e.g.:
• Classroom to accommodate the student numbers.
• Computing and library facilities at the designated times.
• Conduct tutorials on Programmes.
• Other teaching and academic services.

Administration & Enrolment
No Roles & Responsibilities University The centre
1 To ensure that students admitted by the Centre for the programme(s) meet entry requirements as approved by University.
2 To ensure that the Centre maintains records of students’ entry qualifications and transmits the records to University before the end of the first semester. University reserves the right to reject any unqualified students.
3 To provide course curriculum, assignments, grading structure, and the determination of final grades for all courses.
4 To be responsible for the setting of, marking, and evaluation of examinations and assignments, following the University’s guidelines and subject to prior approval of the University.
5 To maintain the graduate transcripts of all students available to all enrolled students upon request.
6 To ensure that the Centre prepares the programme timetables and submits a copy to University.
7 To ensure that the Centre develops, implements, and maintains programme monitoring reports including students’ feedback, and transmits them to University for programme satisfaction analysis on a quarterly/annual basis.
8 To provide an online/offline registration form for the Centre students from the University’s websites.
9 To check, monitor, and undertake the registration of applicants onto the University portals within the time frames as set by University as appropriate and confirm the same via email or other appropriate means immediately following the registration of the Learners.

Examinations and Assessment
No Roles & Responsibilities University The centre
1 The breakdown of the assessment is as prescribed in the course outline provided by University.
2 With prior approval of the University, faculty of the Centre may be given the responsibility to mark assignments and examination papers, but subject to moderation marking by University.
3 To provide the facilities and helpers for the conduct of examination which shall always be supervised by staff approved by the University.
4 To ensure the authority to release the results of the assessments remains with University, although the Centre may facilitate the communication process with the students.

Publicity & Marketing
No Roles & Responsibilities University The centre
1 To be responsible for all marketing and promotional activities related to the programme(s).
2 To be able to use University’s logo in marketing materials relevant to the programme(s) upon approval by University only.
3 To submit a copy of relevant marketing materials to University to obtain University’s approval before implementation.
4 Prior approval from the University will be required for advertisements, brochures, and press releases, which refer to University.

Quality Assurance
No Roles & Responsibilities University The centre
1 Making appropriate staff and students available for any meeting relating to moderation/validation, subject reviews, and any other procedures to meet QA requirements.
2 To ensure that all activities relating to the delivery of the programme(s) comply with all applicable legislation and regulations.
3 To maintain completed student document files, staff files, academic programme files, student assignments, and answer scripts.
4 Annual QA audit of the Centre.

Conferment of Certificates
No Roles & Responsibilities University The centre
1 To confer University Programme(s) Certificates to students who successfully complete and fulfil all requirements of the programme(s), including payment of fees.

Graduation Ceremonies
No Roles & Responsibilities University The centre
1 Students wishing to attend graduation ceremonies at University are responsible for their own expenses, including attendance fees charged by University.
